The main advantage of the proposed technology is the absence of combustion (oxidation) in the waste disposal cycle. The waste disposal process is carried out using microwave steam plasma (1300 – 1500 0C), without air being present, carried out in an environment saturated with hydrogen and oxygen ions. The presence of an additional unit for gas ionization (plasma filter) in the technology makes it possible to obtain zero emissions into the environment through waste processing.

The considered technology of high-temperature plasma decomposition and gasification of carbon-containing (organic) substances is primarily intended for use in the processing and disposal of municipal and medical waste. This is an efficient, ecological, and versatile working tool. The application of this technology will reduce the use of landfills for waste disposal and replacement of landfills with autonomous recycling industrial complexes. Besides, the technology is the most economically and technologically suitable, of those known by today, for the elimination of deposited landfills and polygons.

This technology is the “cleanest” known today. Moreover, the recycling process is carried out without the use of traditional energy sources (gas, fuel oil, diesel fuel), which are an additional polluting factor by themselves. Also, there are no products of high-temperature erosion by electrodes used in electric arc plasma technologies. Therefore, there is practically no harmful compound NOx, in the products of the disposal by application of the method of microwave plasma steam, which has been one of the main problems of all modern waste disposal technologies without any exceptions. This allows the technology to be used in other industries such as the production of high-purity silicon, deposition of films on the surface of materials, and production of “white soot” in pharmacology, perfumery, and chemical industries.
